Free is the way.
We are part of a new generation of young business geeks who have grown up on the web - it’s where we hang out. We are also part of the web universe where most cool stuff is free. It’s free because users don’t play if asked to pay. End of.
Our role models started a free social networking site, a free search facility oh, and a wickedly free encyclopaedia.
Our mission
Most businesses seem to have a mission. Here’s one that we think matters.
“Do something meaningful. Help young people find work. Cut the cost of recruitment for employers. Have fun. Make money.”
How we make money
We may offer a free service but we’re not a charity. We make our money in the same way (but not in quite the same quantity) as Larry Page and Sergey Brin and that’s by offering our site to advertisers and to users prepared to pay for additional premium services.
Most of the money we make gets reinvested into further services…which makes sense for everyone.
Our Management Team
We don’t have a formal team, just a group of people working hard to do the right thing. We are a mix of young guns, bright developers and one or two old business heads who keep us honest.
The young guns understand the market place, the old ‘uns ask the right questions.
